A Fantastic Feast
“On this mountain, the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of the best of meats and the finest of wines.” Isaiah 25:6
This is an interesting time for us. One moment, we’re pulling out our fall décor and our Crock Pots, and in another, we’re fixated on the latest natural disaster or tragic world event. We want cozy comforts and pumpkin candles; however, things around us look so bleak that we’re ready to cry in our soup.
Ah, but there is such hope for those who walk with Jesus…the hope of eternity in heaven without sin, hardship, or torment. A fantastic feast will usher in the eternal blessing of being in the presence of our King.
Now that’s something to look forward to.
Throughout scripture, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is presented to us as the meal we enjoy with all believers including the saints who went before us. Scripture says that many will come and we will take our places at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 8: 11)
Can you imagine? Old Testament saints, Jews, and Gentiles- all who walked with God are on the guest list!
What a dinner invitation.
Like an extravagant meal at a fancy wedding, the fantastic feast is for all people who live by faith. This is the ultimate wedding where we the bride, (the church) join Jesus as our bridegroom. We will celebrate the overthrow of evil and the joy of eternity with God. He will swallow up death forever and wipe away tears from all of our faces.
I don’t think we’ve attended a celebratory meal quite like this.
His word tells us that the bride will be ready, wearing fine linen, bright and clean, symbolizing the righteous acts of the saints. There is no need to pick your outfit for this one, ladies. Get ready for heavenly attire and sumptuous fare.
There will be rejoicing as we say, “This is our God; we trusted in Him and He saved us.” (Isaiah 25: 9)
We can take heart as we watch the world unravel and wonder what the future holds. We can hold tight to the promises He has given us and look forward with great anticipation to a fantastic feast that brings the blessings of comfort and peace to those who live by faith.
Here’s one of my favorite recipes for a perfect fall feast!
Slow Cooker Roast
2-3 lb. Tri-tip or Chuck roast
1-2 T. crack pepper
4-5 cloves of garlic
3 T. of balsamic vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 chopped onion
Spray Crock Pot and place roast in the bottom. Rub cracked pepper and garlic onto the roast. Make several shallow slits in top of meat. Top with chopped onions. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat and onions. Cook on high 4-6 hours (times may very). Serve with potatoes and carrots. Yum!

I'm so glad you're here!
There is abundant, joy-filled life available to us through Jesus! The world is dark but there is always hope in the bright light of Him. Prayer is powerful.
Love,
Kimberly
Truth-packed encouragement. Something to look forward to. And the slow cooker roast–an earthly bonus for now! Thank you!
Amen. Earthly sorrows, but heavenly hope! Let me know how the roast comes out!
